How Sin Sisamuth, Cambodian top singer, took care of his voice
Sin Sisamuth was a top singer of Cambodia, during Sangkumreasniyum regime. He was praised for his golden voice which was a gift from birth and plus it was well taken care of.
There were seven key points that he practiced regularly :
1. He didn’t eat salted and fermented food such as prahok, pickled food, salty crab etc.
2. He didn’t drink alcohol.
3. He didn’t smoke.
4. He didn’t drink cold or iced water.
5. He drank a glass of warm lemon tea when he went to a restaurant.
6. He always wore a hat when he went out of the house to prevent the flu (which would affect his throat then his voice).
7. He always used the same microphone whether he was recording the song in the studio, singing on stage, and going to sing everywhere.
