មានឥន្ទ្រីកម្លោះមួយក្បាលតែងហើរឆាបចាប់កូនមាន់កូនទាជាចំណី។

មានមាន់ញីមួយក្បាលតែងតែរត់ពួន ពេលឃើញឥន្ទ្រីនោះហោះមក។ ឥន្ទ្រីក៏ឃើញមាន់ញីនោះដែរ តែវាធ្វើហី ព្រោះមាន់ញីធំ ពិបាកនឹងចាប់។

ក្រោយមក មាន់ញីក៏ក្លាយជាមេមាន់។ ឯឥន្ទ្រីគឺជាកម្លោះចាស់។

ថ្ងៃមួយមេមាន់បណ្តើរកូនខ្ចីដើររកចំណីតាមជើងភ្នំ។

ពេលនោះ ឥន្រ្ទីបានហើរចុះមកដីចង់ចាប់កូនមាន់មួយរបស់មេមាន់នោះ តែចាប់ មិនបាន។ ស្រាប់តែមេមាន់ស្ទុះទៅវាយឥន្ទ្រី  ធ្វើឲ្យឥន្ទ្រីស្រឡាំងកាំង។

«យី យាយប៉ិនេះ ម៉េចអ៊ីចេះ។» ឥន្ទ្រីនឹកក្នុងចិត្ត។

ឥន្ទ្រីពិតជាភ្ញាក់ផ្អើលជាខ្លាំង ព្រោះវាស្គាល់មេមាន់នេះថាជាមាន់ញី ដែលកាលពីមុនជាសត្វកំសាក ស្រាប់តែថ្ងៃនេះឡើងសាហាវ វាយឥតដកដៃ វាយឡើងឥន្ទ្រីផ្ទប់នឹងជញ្ជាំងថ្មភ្នំ។ ដោយទប់មិនបាន ឥន្ទ្រីក៏ប្រញាប់ហោះគេចខ្លួន។ មុននឹងហោះទៅ មេមាន់ឆ្លៀតធាក់គូទឥន្ទ្រីបានមួយជើងទៀត។

ប៉ុន្តែឥន្ទ្រីមិនបានខឹងគុំកួននឹងមេមាន់ទេ វាបែរជាលង់ស្រឡាញ់មេមាន់ ដកចិត្តមិនរួច។ វាចងចាំគ្រប់សកម្មភាពដែលមេមាន់វាយវា ជាពិសេសមួយជើងចុងក្រោយ។

ឥន្ទ្រីបានសម្រេចចិត្តថា នឹងតាមស្រឡាញ់មេមាន់ឲ្យបាន។ វាខំរកនឹកយុទ្ធសាស្ត្រ ចុងក្រោយក៏រើសយកវិធី «ស្រឡាញ់ម៉ែបំពេរកូន»។

ថ្ងៃបន្ទាប់ ឥន្ទ្រីបានហើរពាំចំណីបម្រុងនឹងទៅឲ្យកូនមាន់ តែមិនទាន់បានចូលទៅជិតកូនមាន់ផង ក៏ត្រូវមេមាន់ច្រាស់ និងធាក់ដូចលើកមុន ព្រោះគិតថាឥន្ទ្រីចង់មកចាប់កូនខ្លួន។

ឥន្ទ្រីត្រូវដោះខ្លួនសិន ព្រោះខ្លាចងាប់ ខានបានស្គាល់រសជាតិអូន។

វាតែងតែពាំចំណីទៅឲ្យយកូនមាន់រាល់ថ្ងៃ ហើយវាក៏ត្រូវមេមាន់វាយឡើងទ្រោមខ្លួនដែរ តែដោយសារថាមពលស្នេហ៍ វាសុខចិត្តលោតបាំងខ្ញើចយកចំណីទៅឲ្យកូនមាន់។

ក្រោយមក ទើបមេមាន់ដឹងពីចេតនាពិតរបស់ឥន្ទ្រី។

គ្មានអ្វីគួរឲ្យនិយាយទៀតឡើយ ព្រោះថាចុងក្រោយ គឺ Happy Ending។ ឥន្ទ្រីកម្លោះចាស់បានរស់នៅយ៉ាងមានសុភមង្គលជាមួយនឹងមេមាន់កូនប្រាំបួនដូចបំណង៕

Story ‘Romance between the eagle and the hen’

There was a male eagle that usually flew around to catch chicks and ducklings as his food.

There was a young female chicken. When she saw the eagle, she was scared and ran to hide herself. 

The eagle saw the chicken, but she was big, it was hard for him to catch her, so he usually ignored her.

Later on, the female chicken became a hen and the eagle became the old fellow.

One day the hen led her nine children to seek food at the foot of the mountain.

The eagle was flying in the sky. He saw the chicks then he flew down on purpose to catch the chick, but he failed. Suddenly, the hen jumped to hit him without pausing, making him startled.

‘What’s wrong with her?’ The eagle thought.

He was very surprised because he recognized this hen; she was the coward but now, she was brave, she beat him without taking her hands off until he fell at the corner by the wall of the mountain.

Seeing the hen was wild, the eagle hurriedly flew away. Before the eagle flew, the hen got a chance to kick his buttocks.

Even though the eagle was not angry with the hen. He turned to fall in love with her. He remembered all her strikes towards him, especially her last kick.

The eagle decided to chase the hen. He tried to think of a method and at last he thought nothing was better than ‘if you want to get the mother, you have to persuade her child’.

The next day, the eagle brought the food on purpose to feed the chicks, but he did not get close to the chicks yet, the hen came to him like a thunder and hit him harshly because she thought the eagle wanted to catch her children.

The eagle had to flee because he was afraid of dying before he had a chance to confess his love.

The eagle always came to feed the chicks every day and he was beaten by the hen every time as well. Though he got a severe injury, because of the energy of love, he still brought the food to the chicks.

Then the hen acknowledged the true intention of the eagle. Nothing to narrate anymore because in the end it was the Happy Ending. The old eagle won over the heart of the nine chicks widow hen and they lived happily forever.
