រឿង «ទន្សាយ និងខ្យង»

មានទន្សាយមួយក្បាលធ្វើដំណើរទៅលេងផ្ទះសាច់ញាតិ។ ដោយសារតែផ្ទះសាច់ញាតិនៅមិនឆ្ងាយ, វាមិនខ្វាយខ្វល់រឿងវេចខ្ចប់អាហារ និងទឹកតាមខ្លួនឡើយ។ 

ចៃដន្យអាកាសធាតុផ្លាស់ប្តូរ, ថ្ងៃប្រែជាក្តៅដូចចង្ក្រានភ្លើង, ធ្វើឲ្យទន្សាយហេវហត់ និងស្រេកទឹកយ៉ាងខ្លាំង តែមិនឃើញមានបឹងឬត្រពាំងសោះ។ ទន្សាយដើរបណ្ដើរភ្នែករំពៃមើលបណ្តើរក្រែងប្រទះកូនថ្លុកណាមួយ។ ពេលនោះ ស្រាប់តែឮសំឡេងស្រែកហៅ៖

«សួស្តី បងទន្សាយ។»

ទន្សាយងាកមើល ក៏ឃើញសត្វខ្យងមួយនៅលើថ្មដែលនៅក្បែរផ្លូវ។ ទន្សាយមិនចង់និយាយជាមួយខ្យងទេ ដោយវានឹកខឹងនឹងពពួកខ្យងដែលធ្លាប់បានប្រើល្បិចដាក់វា កាលពីពេលវា និងខ្យងប្រណាំងគ្នា។ ប៉ុន្តែវាស្រាប់តែនឹកឃើញថា ខ្យងជាសត្វរស់ក្នុងទឹក ហើយខ្យងមិនងាយប្តូរទីកន្លែងរស់នៅឡើយ ហេតុនេះខ្យងប្រាកដជាដឹងថានៅម្តុំនេះ ទីណាមានទឹក។ នឹកឃើញដូច្នេះហើយ ទន្សាយក៏រាក់ទាក់ទៅខ្យងវិញ៖

«សួស្តី ប្អូនខ្យង។ តើប្អូនរស់នៅទីនេះមែនទេ?»

«បាទ។» ខ្យងងក់ក្បាល «ខ្ញុំរស់នៅទីនេះ។»

«អ៊ីចឹងតើនៅម្តុំនេះមានទឹកដែរឬទេ? ខ្ញុំស្រេកទឹក, ហើយថ្ងៃក៏ជិតលិចទៀត, ខ្ញុំកំពុងប្រញាប់ទៅផ្ទះសាច់ញាតិរបស់ខ្ញុំ។»

«មាន។ បងឃើញគុម្ពោតនោះទេ? នៅក្រោយគុម្ពោតនោះមានត្រពាំងតូចមួយ។»

ទន្សាយឮហើយត្រេកអរណាស់។ វាអរគុណខ្យង រួចប្រញាប់បោលទៅរកគុម្ពោត។ ទៅដល់ វាឃើញមានត្រពាំងមែន។ ទន្សាយបានផឹកទឹកយ៉ាងស្កប់ស្កល់ ហើយវាលែងខឹងនឹងពពួកខ្យងទៀតហើយ។ បន្ទាប់ពីផឹកទឹករួច វាក៏រហ័សរហួនបន្តដំណើរ។

មុនថ្ងៃលិច ទន្សាយបានទៅដល់ផ្ទះសាច់ញាតិរបស់វា និងបានជួបជុំគ្នាយ៉ាងរីករាយ៕

Story ‘Hare and Snail’

A hare was traveling to visit a relative’s house. Because the relative’s house was not far away, he didn’t bother packing food and water. But the weather changed; it became as hot as a furnace, making the hare very tired and thirsty, but there was no lake or pond.

The hare walked slowly, his eyes tried to look, hoping to find a puddle. Suddenly, he heard a calling:

“Hello.”

The hare turned around and saw a snail on a rock near the road. Apparently, he didn’t want to talk to the snail because he was angry with snails who had tricked him when they were racing. But at that time, he remembered that snails were aquatic creatures and did not easily change their habitat, so this snail should know where there was water in this area. Hence, he said to the snail:

“Hello. Do you live here?”

“Yes.” The snail nodded. “I live here.”

“Well, is there water around here? I’m thirsty. The sun is almost setting and I’m in a hurry to my relative’s house.”

“Yes. Do you see that bush? Behind that bush is a pool.”

Hearing that, the hare was glad. He thanked the snail and quickly ran to the bushes. When he got there, he saw that there was really a pool. With content, he drank the water, and his mind was no longer angry with the snails. After drinking, he quickly continued on his journey.

Before sunset, the hare arrived at his relative’s house and the hare family reunited happily.
